Q: What do I do if it rains on my wedding day?
A: You don’t have to worry – In case of inclement weather, we always block backup space indoors so that our banquet team can smoothly move your ceremony and cocktail hour inside to a beautiful, dry location.
Q: Are there any other charges or costs associated with having my wedding at Water’s Edge?
A: Our all-inclusive packages mean just that – all inclusive! We charge a ceremony fee and the per person package pricing. Each are subject to a 20% service charge as well at CT State Tax. If you want to enhance your package in any way, we have plenty of options for that as well! Click here to check them out!
Q: Can I set up a room block for my wedding guests at Water’s Edge?
A: We can absolutely offer a discounted rate within a room block to guests coming for your wedding. One of the great things about having your wedding here means that your guests can stay on property with us too – no one needs to worry about getting home after a long night of celebrating!
Q: Is parking included?
A: Yes, parking is included to all our guests at Water’s Edge. Your overnight guests as well as guests coming in only for your wedding will receive complimentary valet service or complimentary parking.
Q: What do I do if some of my guests have specific dietary restrictions?
A: We are always accommodating with any dietary restrictions you and your guests may have. Our menus are customizable, and our banquet chef is very flexible when it comes to working with certain dietary needs. We have vegan options, gluten free options and so much more!
Q: Does Water’s Edge do rehearsal dinners and post-wedding breakfasts too?
A: Absolutely! You could have a whole destination style wedding weekend here if you want to! We have a number of different banquet spaces and menus to accommodate all sizes and budgets for rehearsal dinners and breakfasts. Our favorite is the welcome party beach bonfire!
Q: Can I have a specialty cocktail at the bar for cocktail hour and reception?
A:Our Gold & Diamond Wedding Packages includes a specialty cocktail for both the bride and groom.
Q: I want to come and view the property and wedding sites. Do I need to make an appointment?
A: We would be more than happy to show you around the venue. We always want to make sure we have spaces available and ready to show, so setting up an appointment is always encouraged. To do so, please call our weddings department at 860-577-3524.
Q: Do I have to use your preferred vendors, or can I bring in my own?
A: We provide all our couples with a list of vendors we have worked with in the past. These people know us and our property well! You are more than welcome to use these vendors but are in no way required to. All we need from any vendor is proof of insurance. This will be acquired by your wedding sales manager.
